Epsilon appoints new marketing executives
October 31, 2006 Global marketing company Epsilon has hired James van der Voet, Andrew Caso and Christopher Dressler to senior marketing positions at its Epsilon Interactive Services division, after the departure of its president Al DiGuido two months ago. These new strategic positions come at a time when Epsilon is expanding internationally and is preparing itself for the launch a new email technology platform slated for next year. Ragy Thomas, who was recently promoted to CEO at Epsilon Interactive said “we are at a point in time where we are prepared to take our email platform to the next level.” “We strongly believe that the size and scale of what is to come for email in the next five years is going to be much greater than what it is today," said Thomas. He added "we want to proactively get out there and get ahead of our competition." Andrew Caso has been hired as senior vice president of new product management and will be based in New York. Mr. Caso has been in the email and data services industry for twenty years, including his most recent position as v.p. of client operations at Digital Connexions. Additionally, Caso has also held positions at Yesmail, ClickAction and Citicorp-Quotron. Chris Dressler also will be working with the group in New York, holding the position of v.p. of technology infrastructure, a new position for the company. Chris' role is to lead Epsilon’s growing email systems, network, infrastructure and administration groups. Overall, his vast experience includes consulting for consumer brands like Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. and Kaplan Inc., as well as executive positions at Arvato Systems/Bertelsmann and Siemens. James van der Voet comes from Allstream (AT&T Canada) where he was managing director in consulting services. Before that, James was president and CEO of Cintec Solutions. Additionally, he also held a senior position at IBM and consulted for clients like NASA, Ford and Nestlé. Mr. van der Voet also will hold a newly-created position. As v.p. of software development, James will oversee the development of the company’s next generation email platform. Thomas added “lately, we have grown so much that we are organizationally beyond where we were last year.” He added “we felt it was time to create new senior positions and to bring in some seasoned and talented people from the outside.” Source: DM News
