Nielsen//NetRatings released fresh new numbers today which reveal that search-sponsored links make up 34 percent (nearly 13 billion) of all Internet advertising impressions for just a one week period.

According to Nielsen's latest AdRelevance Sponsored Links Report, eBay ranked Number One in sponsored links placements, which featured more than 15,000 companies during the week ending August 21.

Highlights of the Report:

Top Five Companies Ranked by Sponsored Link Impressions:

--- eBay, with 378,525,000 impresssions
--- Shopping.com, with 138,307,000 impresssions
--- InterActive, with 97,969,000 impresssions
--- MyCashNow.com with 93,751,000 impresssions
--- Yahoo with 90,544,000 impresssions

Top Five Industries Ranked by Total of Sponsored Link Placements:

--- Retail Goods & Services with a 22% Share of Impressions
--- Web Media with a 21% Share of Impressions
--- Financial Services with a 6% Share of Impressions
--- Travel with a 5% Share of Impressions
--- B2B (Business to Business) with a 3% Share of Impressions
